When I began venturing out with my daughter Marilia for her first strolls, I would get that nagging feeling that I was entrusted with some enormous responsibility. I was constantly under a lot of stress at the mere thought that she might escape my attention; that I’d lose sight of her and she’d wander off; that something terrible would happen to her. My worst nightmare was imagining her little hand leaving the safe grasp of mine. I didn’t dare let her go even for a moment, let her run around freely in the company of other children and friends, enjoy herself, and have fun.
Something had to be done: I needed to relax and hit on a solution. First, I thought of writing down my phone number on a piece of paper and slipping it into her pocket. You know, just in case, heaven forbid! That plan proved a flawed one: besides the fact that she did not always wear clothes that had pockets, Marilia considered that piece of paper a bit of a “bother”. She viewed it as useless and would merrily chuck it out chanting “lubbish, mommy, lubbish” (lubbish = rubbish in baby talk, just in case you didn’t know).
I had to come up with a different solution: a fun, pretty, catchy, and easy way for her to keep mommy’s phone number always on her. And that, pretty much, is how the CallMom silicone bracelet came to life.
CallMom silicone bracelets are a simple, affordable, stylish, and fun way of armoring my little “explorer” with extra safety precautions. Today, she can’t do without her bracelets and even goes as far as to color-coordinate them with her “thkirth” (skirts) and “bloutheth” (blouses) which, by the way, she can now pick out of her drawer on her very own, if you please! Our future plans include boosting up our collection with new colors as well as new wearable products which will not only keep children safe but will also be practical, easy on the eye, and fun to wear.
